Might be really good in 3D... but I wouldn't be hoping for a thick plot.

The best thing they can do is have an esoteric plot, much like anime, don't try to explain stuff.

Sadly this is an American film so they will feel compelled to discuss the technology, the alien motive and crap like that, which takes power away from your imagination and weakens the threats.
