A site popped up recently that MAY indicate some Fallout 4 news, but there's a lot of conflicting things about how this possible teaser site came to be, where it's running, etc

Read all about it here:

I HOPE THIS IS THE FOR REAL DEAL

I need a new Fallout game in my life

link to http://thesurvivor2299.com/ = morse code (anyone less lazy than me?)

eddit: "According to Reddit, the Morse code on the page translates to '12-22-13', or maybe '11-22-13'."

I didn't want to link the site directly as I found the morse code a little loud when I went there (my speakers were on full blast I guess hah)

One thing I also find weird is the simplicity of the message on the page, one of the things you could find wandering the wastes were functioning pre-war radio towers with messages on loops that actually had structured messages (sometimes these would lead you to little easter egg locations related to the transmission like bomb shelters, etc with diaries of the survivor), the message seems too simple I guess?

A typical morse radio message in Fallout 3 would be something like "CQ CQ CQ DE SV SV SV K" (which is "calling anyone, this is Sierra Victor, over") vs the teaser which is ambiguous in the date format

Not knowing much about amateur radio I was kind of surprised to find out about little details like that were in the game. But Fallout has always been about little nerdy details

UPDATE (because I forgot) this was all a sham.

When I found out yesterday I wasn't upset at the people who set it up (because damn they made some interesting clues along the way) but at Bethesda who did NOT deny at any time this was a fake site while stocking their online stores with new Fallout merch. There is much suspicion that they let the charade run its course to get the free advertising.

...not cool man...
