...what are you using to shave? And is there a less expensive alternative?

nice font/layout choice on their website -- http://www.dollarshaveclub.com/ -- look familiar? (or am I imagining that a previous incarnation of the Movember official website was very similar colors/fonts?)

lol!

I'm too lazy to shave most times. regular razors just cause an ungodly mess (moles, other things, and acne make for a bloody mess when shaving). Lately I've just been using my electric clippers cause my old electric beard trimmer broke.

I also just use the "beard trimmer" part of a crappy electric -- gives me the Sonny Crocket look [I like to tell myself...] -- but apparently this brilliantly-marketed company has the solution to all your stubble removal problems! (bitch!)

I purchase an electric shaver about every 2 years in the $60-70 price range.... When the blades were out I purchase a new and improved one since the replacement blades almost always cost at least 50% of a whole new shaver so why not get a better one?

I once got a shave from a barber (using a straight razor). woo boy did he nick a mole, and a zit. I was bleeding for many minutes. Even a professional can't handle it :(

I gave this a serious go one summer and the result was smoother however at the cost of time. It also took a week or more to get over the irritation from the change over.

Superior but also more time consuming, costly and messy.

On a bad day (and not including the noggin) it's about 15 minutes

Kind of time to reflect on life... mind you I have a bathroom of my own

Mornings are a serious challenge for me so from getting up to getting on the bus I keep things quick... Shaving takes me 5-10min maybe 15 if I am doing some beard trimming from being lazy on the weekend. If I was going clean shaven it might break even on speed... However I still calculate the cost as higher... Quality razor blades do last longer but cost more, cheap disposibles are well cheap and don't last long... Plus proper shaving cream/gel... Just have to keep my electric charged which is a once a week deal.

Mr. Analog

Yep lots of advantages that's for sure

But... I do agree a razor gives a better shave.
