FTP/SFTP and Big file sharing

Like any business we have the need to toss arround large files outside parties at times, some of this data can not be hosted in something like drop box because of information security laws..

I was looking at http://www.serv-u.com/ as I still need an FTP/SFTP server but I am interested in their new time limited HTTP/HTTPS file sharing option and AD integration... It looks fairly slick..

Any alternatives I might be over looking? http://www.zftpserver.com/ is another, however not so much an Enterprise option.

If I was going PURE FTP the options get really easy, but I want something more... I want to have good quota support and I like the sharing options since we have random subcontractors at times.

Since you've mentioned Enterprise, I just came from from California visiting with Oracle, so maybe it's kool-aid I'm drinking but I gotta admit their "cloud" product seemed pretty impressive, like Drop Box but better in a lot of ways.

Probably kinda pricey but at least this way you can see what is out there, Enterprise-wise.

We distribute large files via SFTP hosted from an intranet, I can't divulge more than that really. I'm a bit leery of the current generation of Cloud services (mostly due to security concerns), I know they are fairly robust these days and a lot of other companies are having success.

The main benefit we have going through "hosted rackspace somewhere" is support is generally good and we have someone we can yell at if anything goes wrong (which, to date, hasn't)

I am not looking for cloud solutions because they nearly all break rules I can't break with some possible data.

I am looking for Easy to use Large file sharing platforms... bare bones I am looking at setting up SFTP, but I would rather have something more hybrid that offered easy ways for data to be shared.

serv-u seems to fit the bill, just looking to see if anyone has any other strong alternatives.

We use GSFTP and DFS here at NAIT.  Quota is enforced by the Windows Size stuffs.
